The book gives the overview of kinetic and mechanistic aspects of the oxidation of some biologically important organic compounds such as neutral amino acids (glucine, valine, leucine and alanine), aliphatic primary amines (n-propylamine, n-butylamine), by aromatic sulphonyl halomines in aqueous, acidic/alkaline medium in presence of the catalyst like Ru(III) and beta-cyclodextrin and the photo degradation processes of physiologically important chloramine-T.

Dr.Prashanth P.A, is currently working as Professor and Head, Dept. of Chemistry at Sai Vidya Institute of Technology, Bangalore. He obtained his M.Sc, M.Phil and Ph.D from the University of Mysore. He has 15 years of teaching experience and has published more than 12 research articles in reputed journals.He is guiding 6 students for their Ph.D.
